Dearest Prerna,

It’s been almost 12 months since we’ve been together. It all started with that Pakistan versus India match. Sure, we’ve had funny little arguments day to day, but I love you so, so much. When I see you, I feel like I’m home. You’re the missing puzzle piece I didn’t even know was missing. You fulfill me and center me.

We argue and clash because we’re human. It’s not hate, it’s just the journey, and I love you through it all.

It’s going to be a long journey. We both have our paths, but I’m always here for you, and I know you’re there for me. I look forward to when we don’t have to hide—when we build a life, a family, going to the Gurdwara, living together.

I know I’m not always easy—I have my moods, I get frustrated—but at the end of the day, you’re the one I love and always will. Thank you for always keeping up with me, even when I’m a handful.
